The highly athletic (6.67 speed in the 60) 6-foot-2, 185-pound Marshall has steadily improved from a mid-80s thrower as a freshman to touching 90 mph last summer to his present steady 92-94 mph heat. Along with getting consistent plus movement on his fastball, Marshall comes at hitters with an upper-70s hard curveball that is a plus Major League level pitch at times and a quickly developing changeup. He enters the Classic as the top ranked left-hander in the Class of 2014, and he posted a 2.13 ERA in high school this spring, with 80 strikeouts in 46 innings pitched.
