A strong right-hander with a three-pitch arsenal, Pimentel topped out at 94 mph at the PG National at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, and worked comfortably at 90-93 mph. He also throws a sharp 80 mph slider, and appears to be a power, swing-and-miss type pitcher in the making, as he is still just scratching the surface of his potential. Pimentel is a New York native who will attend Montverde Academy for his senior year in high school.
