A tall, powerfully built righthander, Andritsos has a power fastball to go with that frame, as he showed off a low-90s fastball at the PG National that topped as high as 94 mph. He also mixes in a hard low-80s curveball with good depth, and shows a feel for his changeup. Most importantly, there is an extra gear to Andritsos’ fastball that has intrigued scouts, allowing him to get consistent late swings and weak contact. Andritsos also set the home run record at perennial powerhouse The Woodlands High School last season.
