Hernandez is the second Puerto Rican to be named a Perfect Game All-American during the Classic's 10-year existence, following up on 2012 No. 1 overall draft pick Carlos Correa, now with the Houston Astros. Hernandez and Correa played on the same team in Puerto Rico this spring, with Hernandez moving over to third in deference to Correa at shortstop. Hernandez is ranked as the No. 17 overall prospect in the country per Perfect Game and has enormous power potential as a left side infielder.
