2003 South Underclass Showcase
Sanchez is a 2005 second baseman. He is a young junior that has more growing to do. His major strength revolves around his foot-speed. Defensively he moves well to both his backhand and to his left. He flashed a good glove and at times showed some good ability to make the non-routine play. His present actions play well enough, but he could benefit from a throwing program to fortify his defensive game. With the bat he showed a hard swing with a couple balls drive hard in play. We think he might create some more fluid swing actions and additional power with a better back foot turn and strong finish with his swing. If he gets the ball on the ground he has the chance to get on base.
