Andrew has a medium, athletic frame, loose arm, Hi 3/4 release, hides ball well, maintains velo, nice change with running action, effective curveball when down in zone, good sink on 2 seamer, good pitchability, solid 3 pitch mix. Strong hands at the plate with gap power, good arm strength in the infield. He is also a very good student.

Andrew Zimmerman is a 2009 RHP/3B with a 6'0'', 170 lb. frame from Sarasota, FL who attends Riverview HS. Solid build, some strength. Compact delivery, good balance/tempo, deceptive arm action. FB 88 mph, explosive life at times. Tight CB, out pitch for him, plus command, knows how to pitch. Good athlete who is 2-way prospect. LD hitter, good bat speed, knows how to play. Excellent student. He was named to the top prospect team at this event.

Andrew Zimmerman is a 2009 RHP/IF with a 5'11'', 165 lb. frame from Sarasota FL, who attends Riverview. Named to Top Prospect Team. Zimmerman has a medium sized frame with a lean athletic body. Zimmerman pitches from a high 3/4 slot with a short compact arm action. He pitches with some effort and has good mound presence. Zimmerman pitches on a good downhill plane and is quick to the plate. He throws a 10/4 curveball with good spin. It could develop into a good strikeout pitch in the future. Zimmerman also throws a straight change and maintains good armspeed on it. At the plate, Zimmerman starts with a slightly open stance with low hands. He swings on a line drive path and makes consistent contact. Defensively, Zimmerman has solid arm strength with some carry on it. He has nice hands and clean actions. Zimmerman is an excellent student.

Andrew Zimmerman is a 2009 RHP/IF with a 5'10'', 160 lb. frame from Crestwood KY, who attends North Oldham HS. He has a young body with a medium build that should grow and fill out well considering his age. Zimmerman has very sound pitching mechanics and stays compact, balanced and directional to the plate. He stays closed well and uses his lower half to generate power to the plate. Zimmerman showed very good arm strength for a 2009 prospect, pitching steadily at 82-84 mph with occasional cutting action. His best pitch was a 70 mph curveball that had a very sharp, deep bite and that consistently overmatched hitters. He also mixed in come 78 mph change ups. Zimmerman worked quickly, aggressively threw strikes and showed an advanced mound presence for his age. The key will be how much Zimmerman grows and is able to add velocity but he has a lot of ingredients already in place to be a high level pitcher. Zimmerman showed good athletic ability in the middle infield and developing ability as a hitter, but his future is on the mound. He is a very good student.

Andrew Zimmerman is a 2009 SS/P with a 5'10'', 145 lb. frame from Crestwood KY, who attends North Oldham. Andrew has a slender build with long legs. Andrew has good game speed defensively and showed good range his 60 time wouldn't indicate. Andrew has good body conrtol has developing defensive actions. Andrew has armstrength for his young age(09). At the plate, Andrew starts with a wide stance and uses a no stride approach. He swings on a line drive plane and looks to hit the ball from gap to gap. Andrew pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot and has a loose arm action. His arm works well and hitters took a lot of bad swings off him. Andrew throws a deceptive change-up that gets armside run on it while maintaining good arm speed. Andrew has a feel for 3 pitches and throws them all for strikes. He is a solid young follow and is an outstanding student.
