2004 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Gallagher is a 2005 2B/OF from Middletown, NJ with a lean 6'1"/170 pound body. He showed outstanding arm strength and above average accuracy throwing 89 mph from the outfield and 86 mph in the infield with a ton of carry. He has very athletic actions on defense, and he ran a 7.04 in the 60. At the plate, he hits from a wide, balanced stance with little or no stride. He has a short, compact stroke. He made consistent solid gap to gap contact with pull side power. He has a tremendous upside and is a player to follow closely. We haven't seen many high school 2B with this kind of arm strength. Daniel is a very good student.
