2006 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Mike Laperrier is a 2007 SS/3B with a 6'3'', 230 lb. frame from Buzzard's Bay MA, who attends Wareham HS. He has a thick build with good strength. Laperrier moves pretty well for his size, running the 60 in 7.44 and showing some lateral mobility in the field. He projects at third base at the next level as the game speeds up. Laperrier threw 80 mph across the infield during drills with some carry on his throws. Offensively, Laperrier has a good aggressive swing and stays short to the ball. He made solid contact in the game to the right side and uses his strength well and projects some power in the future. Laperrier is a good student off the field.
