2006 Mid-Atlantic Underclass Showcase
Daniel Burk is a 2008 1B that attends Pennsbury HS and resides in Morrisville, PA with a 5'11", 240 lb. frame. Daniel has a thick stocky build. At the plate Daniel has a long swing but is able to produce good raw power from his build. When he gets everything together on his swing he could put the ball out of many parks. He will need to shorten his swing and keep his hands inside the ball more. His swing could do damage against lower-level pitching but will need adjustments to handle better pitchers. Daniel only made an appearance at first base during the showcase. He has clean actions around the bag, but his arm strength will probably make him stay at first base. Daniel is a player that could attract the attention of some smaller colleges.
