Kevin Skop is a 2008 LHP/OF from Peabody Veterans Memorial HS, residing in Peabody, Massachusetts, with a 6'1"/185 pound frame. Kevin has a solid frame. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with minimal effort and a balanced delivery. Skop throws slightly across his body and needs to add arm strength. His fastball has slight arm side run at 79 mph to go with a big 1-7 curveball at 67 mph. He stays around the zone with a solid mix of pitches. Kevin hits from a slightly open stance and closes well. He has solid bat speed with lift in his swing and is a hard line drive hitter. He does look to pull every pitch and his swing gets long at times. Skop has sort arm action from the outfield at 75 mph and has solid actions defensively. His arm is stiffer from the outfield and he showed more effort in his throws.
