Peter Heldt is a 2008 RHP/1B/3B with a 6'3'', 190 lb. frame from Marietta, GA, who attends Harrison HS. Named to the Top Prospect Team. Heldt has an extra large frame with present strength and an athletic build. On the mound he throws 3/4 arm slot with good arm speed. His arm works well and he has big time velocity projection. His fastball topped out at 83 mph with good arm side life, and he has the ability to spin his breaking ball. He has clean mechanics and has good upside on the mound. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with bat speed and a line drive swing plane. Heldt makes hard contact showing projectable power to all fields. He has good plate discipline that will allow him to hit for a high average as well as power. Defensively he has nice actions, especially for an infielder of his size. He moves well and shows good range and footwork. Heldt is a two-way prospect with great upside, and he is a good student as well.
