Peyton Hart is a 2008 SS/IF with a 6'1'', 165 lb. frame from Royston, GA, who attends Franklin County HS. Named to the Top Prospect Team. Hart has a very good frame with athleticism. Has good speed in the sixty and in game action. Defensively he has good actions in the middle infield with soft hands, nice footwork, and range. Hart showed good arm strength with very good accuracy. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a wide base with a toe tap trigger. Has good bat speed through the zone and has very good hand-eye coordination that allows him to make consistently solid contact with projectable power. Hart has the ability to hit line drives to all fields. Very patient hitter with good strike zone awareness. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with solid mechanics. His arm works well, and he gets very good run on his fastball that topped out at 78 mph. He also mixes in a 71 mph curveball with good spin, and a 71 mph change. Hart was one of the most athletic players at the showcase, and he is an excellent student as well.
