2007 West Coast Top Prospect Showcase
Tyler Buziecki is a 2008 OF with a 6'2'', 180 lb. frame from Cypress, CA who attends Cypress HS. He has a lean and athletically proportioned body. Buziecki is a talented player with pretty good upside as a college prospect and possibly beyond someday. It was clear to us that he loves to play. He is a projectable player whose tools are there but not fully developed. Buziecki might be a late bloomer that makes big strides in college. He is a good young switch-hitter with a nice controlled swing on both sides of the plate. His hands work well and he keeps the bat in the zone by staying inside the ball well. His swing is easy and there is life in it, on both sides. Buziecki is a line drive/gap hitter at this point and could develop some power in the coming years. He is a good base runner too. He is a good outfielder who approaches the ball well and has a strong, accurate arm. Buziecki is the type of player who enters college unknown and then in three years becomes a good draft prospect.
