Will Campbell is a 2007 RHP with a 6'4'', 190 lb. frame from Whitesburg GA, who attends Alexander HS. He has a tall lanky athletic body with developing strength. He has the kind of wide hips and wide shoulders that could handle lots of additional strength. Campbell has a very deliberate and balanced delivery up to the top of his wind up. Once he gets up there and ready to move forward, things become much more complicated and Campbell rushes the rest of his windup. He lacks much front side in his delivery and cuts himself off pretty hard out front. Campbell's arm is short and lively. He throws a sinking fastball in the 82-85 mph range and off sets this with a 74 mph curveball that had solid rotation and a short, tight bite. Campbell did a good job commanding his two pitches and had an idea. We didn't see a change up but would expect that he would normally have one. Campbell is physically projectable but will have to make mechanical adjustments out front to develop much further. He is a very good student.
