Josh Leemhuis is a 2009 C/OF from St. John's College HS in Bethesda, MD with a 5'10", 160 lb. frame. Josh has a lean athletic build with room to fill out and ran well for his position. (7.20) At the plate Josh hits from a nice balanced stance and has some strength and bat speed in his swing. He has a tendency to jumps and cut under the ball, which can be fixed if he works on his load and keeping his weight back. Josh has the tools to improve quite a bit at the plate. In the outfield Josh showed quick outfield actions with good balance and nice carry on his throws. Behind the plate Josh showed off an accurate arm but didn't seem to have the raw arm strength he showed in the outfield. Josh is a kid that could attract attention from mid to high-level college programs in a few years.
