2006 Mid-Atlantic Underclass Showcase
Travis Hart is a 2008 RHP/IF that attends Paint Branch HS and resides in Burtonsville, MD with a 6'1", 180 lb. frame. Travis has an athletic build that is well developed. On the mound Travis throws from a low 3/4 arm slot with a long loose arm action. He is a low effort pitcher with good arm speed and nice run on his fastball. Travis has a good mound presence and works quick but will need to work on his off-speed pitches. Travis does not always finish well to the plate and could pick up some velocity if he work on finishing online to the plate. At the plate Travis has a level swing-plane and makes consistent contact. He gets little lower half in his swing and must work on this if he wants to drive the ball. At first base Travis is athletic around the bag and shows a nice tool set. Travis is a player that could attract the attention of many smaller colleges.
