Aaron Lambrix is a 2008 right handed pitcher/right hand hitting outfielder from Foothill HS, residing in Santa Ana, CA. He has a 6'0" 160 lb. frame with a long, lanky, high waisted body that has some physical projectability. Lambrix is the type of young player that is still developing, in all ways. To peg him at a particular position at this point is too early, as he shows promise in all phases of the game. On the mound he has a loose, clean arm and a good delivery. His fastball topped at 84 mph and he threw it with good control on both sides of the plate. Lambrix showed the ability to pitch with his curveball and was able to change speeds with it, while also being able to change the shape and action of it. There was some depth with the breaking ball too. Lambrix also showed good feel and usability of his change-up. He understands how to disrupt the timing of hitters and trusts his stuff. Offensively Lambrix had a good BP session, displaying balance and good hand speed. The bat flew through the zone and the ball exited well. He hit numerous liners up the middle and showed projectable power. His game ABs were not as good but he is interesting, at the very least. From the outfield his arm strength is good (85 mph) and he approached the ball well. Put Lambrix down as a strong follow for the D1 level. His tools are coming on and he could make a big jump at any time, either on the mound or as a position player.
