Torin Lucas is a 2008 C with a 6'0'', 200 lb. frame from Ponchatoula, LA who attends Ponchatoula. Torin has a medium athletic build with some present strength. He showed good arm strength and a good setup behind the plate. His feet work, he makes a clean exchange, and he puts his throws on the bag. His best pop time was 2.00, and he had a top velocity of 76 on throws down to second base. Lucas hits from a slightly open stance with a low hand set and gets into a good load. However, his feet don't stay still in the box, and a quieter approach may help him a great deal. He has bat speed and power potential with a line drive approach. He does a good job staying short and compact at the plate for a player his size.. He is a short strider that has power potential once he gets all of his lower half into his swing.
