Jon White is a 2007 3B/1B with a 6'2'', 195 lb. frame from Canton GA, who attends Sequoyah HS. White has a very good athletic body with some present strength and the potential to be really strong in the future. White moves well for a large framed young athlete, with easy, smooth actions. His athleticism is evident on defense, where he shows range to both sides, very good balance and a quick, strong arm. Offensively, White hits with high hands in his set up and a bit of a crouched stance. He took an excellent batting practice, driving the ball hard with virtually every swing and showing a smooth, tension free swing with bat speed and loft power potential. During games, White's swing got longer and he was off balance out in front. It looked like he overly anxious and got away from his regular swing. White has performed at a very high level in the past and consistently shown his power. We've had people from all over come to us saying what a great young man White is and how he has risen above some adversity in his live and we saw a hard working athlete who loved being on the field. He's a very good follow with a high ceiling athleticially.
