Charlie McCann is a 2008 RHP/IF/OF that attends St. Christopher's HS in Richmond, VA with a 6'2", 155 lb. frame. Charlie has a lean projectable frame and was one of the top pitching prospects at the event. On the mound he throws from a low 3/4 arm slot with a long loose arm action. He has a very clean arm action and was a low effort pitcher. Charlie gets a good downhill plane on his pitches and flashes a nice straight change up. His overall feel for pitching is good and you can see a lot of upside in him. With a little growth Charlie should be a solid Division I prospect.

Charlie McCann is a 2008 RHP from Richmond, Virginia, with a very athletic 6'2", 155 lb. frame. He has a long, whippy arm action, and stays around the plate with his pitches. McCann's delivery has very good pace, and is on line and clean. He has an advanced approach for his age, and his arm works very well. We feel he is just starting to hit his stride, and should continue developing velocity, and he has a sky's the limit type body. McCann showed a fastball that topped out at 77 mph, and mixed in a curveball at 67 mph, and a 69 mph change up. His fastball has very good life and he commands the pitch well. McCann has a very good feel for his change up with very good sinking action. His curveball has tight spin, and is still developing a consistent bite. He does slow his arm on his curveball and tips the pitch. He ran well with long galloping strides, and he posted a 5.42 forty time. McCann is the type of player every college coach will want to see.
