Geraldo Guzman is a 2007 LHP/OF from San Juan, Puerto Rico with a 5'4", 150 lb. frame. Geraldo has a lean athletic build. In the outfield Geraldo showed solid range, with a long arm action on his throws, and solid footwork in the outfield. At the plate, Geraldo had a very effortless smooth swing that makes him a solid contact hitter. Guzman is very steady and reliable player that will need to become stronger to reach his full potential in the field and at the plate. On the mound Geraldo throws from a high 3/4 slot with a long arm circle. He features a 71-73 FB with good armside run, and a solid 12 to 6 CB with tight spin. Geraldo has room to add a good amount of velocity. There is no reason to think he couldn't increase his velocity up around 80 with hard work. With age and added strength Geraldo Guzman has the tools in place to play at the next level.
