Kyle Alonso is a 6' 165 pound 2008 catcher from Coral Reef High School in Miami, Florida. He has a good body and looks like he has room to add muscle. Kyle is a right handed hitter with a tall stance. He is short to the ball and really likes to turn on pitches on the inner half of the plate. He has nice hands in his swing which is very linear and creates line drives to all fields. Alonso showed solid defensive actions as well. He threw 70 mph down to second base with a pop time of 2.18. Kyle should continue to improve and mature.
