Daniel Petrovich is a 2007 MIF/P/OF from South Plantation HS in Plantation, FL, with a 5'6'', 135 lb. frame. He hasn't started to fill out his frame yet. Petrovich ran the 60 in 8.01 and threw 65 mph during infield drills. He has good footwork on defense and some range. He profiles best at second base due to his developing arm strength. Petrovich hits with low hands in back and a soft, short stride. He has a line drive swing plane and is best on balls down in the strike zone. He'll need to gain more strength to take the next step with the bat. Petrovich also pitched and threw 72 mph. His 65 mph curveball was a pretty good pitch with some tightness to it.
