Riley Hall is a 2009 C/3B with a 6'1'', 185 lb. frame from Calhoun, GA who attends Calhoun HS. He has a good athletic frame and some present strength. Hall threw 71 mph during catching drills with a best pop time of 2.10. He has a good, quick exchange and release and all his catching movements are pretty clean. He's been taught to stay compact and does a good job of it. His pop times will move under 2.00 when he gets his direction moving better towards second base rather than straight up but he'll throw out runners. With the bat, Hall has some strength, especially in his hands, but he has a long swing with some back side collapse and a lot of his swing energy is used up by the time he gets to contact. When he stays short to the ball and hits through it he has some ability to drive the ball with a line drive swing plane. Hall is a 8.11 runner.
