Anthony Boza is a 2007 1B/3B/C from Braddock High School in Miami, FL, with a strong 5'11'', 180 lb. frame. Defensively he has nice hands at first base, and gets in position well to make the plays. Boza has solid arm strength across the diamond with good accuracy. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who can do some damage. He hits from a spread stance and attacks the ball looking to hit the ball with authority. He keeps his hands back and uses them well for a power hitter. Boza has strength and raw power in his swing with the ability to drive the ball to the deepest parts of the park. He has good bat speed through the hitting zone and gets good leverage at the point of contact. Boza is a confident hitter who should hit for power and average. He had a very good batting practice session, and has definite upside at the plate. Boza is also a smart and instinctive player.
