Jared Quade is a 2020 3B/RHP, SS with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Gretna, NE who attends Gretna. Medium frame with broad shoulders and a solid build. Primary third baseman with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while rounding the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange with develop fluidity. Created good momentum while working to the bag. Long arm circle and generated softer, accurate carry across the infield at 72 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose, extended hand path to baseball with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Primarily employed a mid field approach but flashed the barrel feel to work the ball the other way as well. Also pitched utilizing a smooth rock step to medium leg lift delivery. Creates some coil over back leg at gather and worked to the plate with drop and drive actions. Swings front side but lands in line with the plate. Quick arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters slot. Fastball produced some downhill plane through the zone with run to arm side, topped at 70 miles per hour. Tends to slow arm speed slightly with a changeup offering that sat in the mid 60's. Looked to fill the zone and challenged hitters. Induced weak, ground ball contact when locating to the bottom quadrants of the strike zone. Good student.
