Bryce Avila is a switch hitting 2007 third baseman/right handed pitcher from Onalaska Washington with a tall lean build at 6'1", 151 pounds. He hits from a balanced stance with a quiet approach and a slight gather of the hands. He looked comfortable swinging wood and he has a good approach at the plate. He generates bat speed and he showed good power potential to the pull side. He has a strong arm at 81 mph across the infield with carry. On the mound, he pitches from a 3/4 slot with a fluid easy tempo. He has a long arm action with a full circle in back. He keeps the ball down in the zone effectively, and shows run on his 79 mph fastball. His slider was 69-71 mph and showed good depth at times. His change was 70-72 with good run and sink. He showed good command of all his pitches. He has lots of room to add strength and he is a very interesting prospect to follow. Bryce is a very good student.
