Joey Thibodeaux is a 2008 OF/2B with a 5'8'', 150 lb. frame from Lafayette LA, who attends Acadiana. Joey has a young body with an athletic build. Joey has arm strength with solid carry on his throws from the outfield. He has athletic outfield defensive actions and maintains good balance. Joey has solid footspeed (7.30) and it transfers to his range in the outfield. At the plate, Joey starts with his feet shoulder width apart and uses a no load approach. He has a line drive swing plane and stays back on the ball well. Joey has good hand strength through is swing and has bat speed. Joey makes consistent solid contact and has the ability to hit the ball to all fields consistently. Joey is a good young follow and is an excellent student.
