R.J. Santigate is a 2009 SS 3B/P with a 6'2'', 185 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Bishop Gorman HS. He has a lean and athletic build with a really good present day body and more room to fill out. We have seen Santigate play quite well in past events and have felt at various times that he was going to be an impact college player. At this event he was not as physical with the bat as we have seen. He was employing a spray hitting approach and though it was a nice looking swing with hands that work, it was not a very aggressive swing, not for someone with his body type and strength. We still think the power will develop in the coming years. Santigate lets the ball travel and seems to pick up the ball pretty well. He is still a projectable bat for the D1 level. Defensively he showed a loose arm and his throws track well. He will move to 3rd base beyond high school. We have seen more explosiveness from Santigate and it could be that he is in a growth spurt that he is adjusting to. D1 programs should follow him closely. Santigate is also pitching now. He showed good fastball (79-81 mph) and feel of a rolling 67 mph curveball.

RJ Santigate is a 2009 IF with a 6'2", 170 lb frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Bishop Gorman HS. Named to Top Prospect Team. RJ has a lean athletic build with some room to fill out and showed a very solid all-around set of tools. He is a switch-hitter that looks much better from the left side of the plate. RJ has a smooth easy swing with good extension from the left side. He has a good feel for how to hit and showed quality bat speed. He has the tools to project at the next level from the left side. From the right side of the plate RJ has some hitting tools, but his approach needs a lot of work. In the field RJ has very good actions for a third basemen. He is smooth and easy to the ball and shows a long loose arm action. His throws are accurate and he looks very comfortable going to the ball. RJ is a strong student that should attract the attention of many mid to high-level college programs.

RJ Santigate is a 2009 SS/IF with a 6'2'', 170 lb. frame from Las Vegas NV, who attends Bishop Gorman HS. Selected as a Top Prospect at this event. Santigate is a very nice looking young player, both physically and in terms of ability. He has a strong, athletic body, with a broad upper body and long legs. He has the makings of a pro-type body, and his game is headed in that direction too. He swings the bat easily and with authority. Santigate has very good hands that drive through the ball with excellent extension. He is pretty short to the ball and keeps his hands inside, all the way through contact, resulting in a bit of an inside/out swing. His ability to stay behind the ball and create barrel lag, along with is strength, body type, and bat speed, all suggest above average future power. Defensively he moves pretty well and projects as a 3rd baseman. His arm is strong, though not without effort. His hands work and his range will play well at the hot corner, as will his left handed bat. Santigate is a good student with considerable upside on the field, rating among the top '09 prospects in the West.

R.J Santigate is a 6' 150 pound 2009 shortstop and right handed pitcher from Las Vegas, Nevada who attends Liberty High School and doesn’t show any timidness towards the game. He is an aggressive instinctive young player who takes the bull by the horns and brings his game to his opponents. RJ hit with a compact swing through the hitting zone. He has an average base with bent knees and has good balance in his swing. Santigate has good leverage at contact which will get better as he matures. He is a switch hitter who uses all fields. RJ has a good upside to his overall game and needs to be followed. He is also a very good student with a 3.5 gpa.
