Brock Selnick is a 2006 OF from Canyon Springs HS, residing in Moreno Valley, CA, with a 6'0", 180 lb. frame. He has a strong build and some athleticism. Selnick plays hard and plays the right way, running out all balls, making good hard turns to draw throws, etc. He hits from a slightly open stance and has good balance. Selnick has a long finish that allows him to get through the ball well. He has good bat speed, though he is a bit overly aggressive to the pull side. His hands start from low slot, indicating that he wants to lift the ball. Selnick plays with high effort and energy, the kind of player his teammates can look to as a leader by example.
