Nathan Gonzalez is a 2009 C/OF/1B with a 5'9'', 195 lb. frame from Clermont, FL who attends East Ridge HS. Gonzalez has a strong stocky build and is a good defensive catcher. He takes charge behind the plate and has very good catch and throw skills. He is short to the ball at the plate and has an easy line drive swing. He has a great approach and squares balls up. He hit well in the games at the Metrodome. The bat stands out and he even runs fairly well for a catcher. He is an excellent student.
