Sebastian Murillo is a 2020 SS/2B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Huntington Beach, CA who attends Fountain Valley High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders, present strength to build with additional room to develop physically. Primary shortstop, moves well with quickness to footwork, circles it well and works behind the ball, fields out front and ball comes out cleanly with carry, repeats actions nicely, plenty of balance and coordination on the charge with short and quick steps. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a simple gliding trigger with front side moving into contact. Low effort swing with looseness and extension out front, creates consistent contact to pull side. Shows quickness to hands and does a nice job of elevating at point of contact with jump off the barrel when squared. Projects well with added physical strength. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Arizona.
