Tyler Stevens is a 2007 RHP/OF with a 6'0'', 175 lb. frame from Hopewell Junction NY, who attends Arlington. Stevens has a medium sized frame with a lean body. He has good core strength. Stevens pitches from a 3/4 arm slot and throws with a shorter arm action. He has a quick arm with looseness to it. Stevens uses drop and drive style mechanics and maintains good balance through his delivery. He finishes online and has a clean delivery. He throws a 12/6 curveball with nice spin. His fastball gets good armside run and his change-up has real good sink. At the plate, Stevens starts with a wide stance with a deep load. He uses a toe tap trigger and swings on a line drive path. He gets the barrel to the baseball and has bat speed. Defensively, Stevens has active feet and moves to the baseball well in the outfield. He has a lower release and makes online throws. Stevens is an excellent student.
