Christopher Meccariello is a 2008 RHP/1B with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame from Commack NY, who attends St Anthony's. Meccariello has a medium sized frame with a nice build. Meccariello pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long loose arm action. He has a hitch in his arm action and hooks the ball in back. Meccariello uses a max effort delivery and has solid balance. He mixes his pitches well and has solid control of all 3 pitches. His curveball has depth and his slider has good spin. At the plate, Meccariello starts with an open stance with a wide base. His hands are deep and he gets a deep load. Meccariello takes his hands to the ball well and throws the bat head to the ball. He has an inside out stroke with bat speed. Defensively, Meccariello throws with a shorter arm action with some effort. He moves well around the base at first and can make the picks. He is also a very good student.
