Bryan Dorsey is a 2007 OF/1B from Cheshire HS in Cheshire, CT with a 5'10", 170 lb. frame. Bryan has a lean athletic build with some room to fill out. At the plate Bryan hits with a pull approach with good present strength. He has a good coil and load in his swing and centers the ball well. Sometimes Bryan will open up a little early causing him to roll over the ball, but that can easily be corrected by keeping the front side on the ball longer. In the field Bryan has much better speed than indicated by his 60-yard dash. He shows solid actions to the ball in the outfield and has an accurate arm. Bryan looks to be a prospect for many smaller colleges accross the country.

Bryan Dorsey is a 2007 OF/P/1B with a 5'10'', 165 lb. frame from Cheshire CT, who attends Cheshire. Dorsey has a thin body with a lean athletic build. He has good life in his body and is a high energy player. Defensively, Dorsey throws with a long arm action and has a good clean release. He moves around well in the outfield and has a good approach to the ball. Dorsey gets good jumps on balls in the outfield and reads the ball off the bat well. At the plate, Dorsey starts with a wide stance and uses a high stride to start his swing. He gets loaded well and has a good quiet approach in the box. His front arm is barred through the zone and throws the bat head to the baseball well. Dorsey has quick hands with good bat speed. He looks to lift the ball a bit and has present gap to gap power. Dorsey will hit for more power as his body fills out.

Bryan Dorsey is a 2007 OF/P from Cheshire HS in Cheshire, CT, with a 6'0'', 165 lb. frame. He has an athletic build with projectable strength gains. Dorsey moved to the ball aggressively in the outfield and showed 75 mph arm strength with good mechanics. He's a 7.44 runner in the 60. Dorsey has a busy set up at the plate with an open to closed approach and active hands. He uses his hands to hit. Dorsey takes an aggressive swing and is looking to drive the ball hard. He has a pull approach and looks for the ball in. With the looseness and lift in his swing, we're betting that he lofts some home runs back home in Connecticut. His bat speed is good and should continue to improve as he fills out his frame. Dorsey also pitched a bit and threw 76 mph from a low 3/4's release point and cross body delivery. His 61 mph curveball has a big break and with his delivery he's probably touch on left handed hitters like himself. Dorsey is a good looking young hitter with a sound approach who has the tools to play at the next level.

Dorsey is a 5-10, 160 lb junior left handed outfielder from Connecticut with some present upper body strength. He ran the 60 in 7.46 and threw 77 mph during outfield drills. Dorsey hits from an open to closed hitting stance with a smooth, level swing. Dorsey showed a well above average ability to handle the bat head and square up on pitches and hit them solidly somewhere. He took a very good batting practice, then hit the ball hard everytime at the plate during the showcase games, going 3-3 in one game. Dorsey seems very focused on making contact and he could open his swing up a bit if he wanted and develop some more power given his strength and hitting skills. Dorsey also pitched, throwing 75mph from a very deceptive and funky delivery with multiple release points. Despite being off balance and changing his delivery from pitch to pitch, Dorsey was able to throw strikes, which says something about his overall athleticism. Dorsey is a good student, too.
