Michael Tomasi is a 2008 RHP/OF with a 6'4'', 175 lb. frame from Boca Raton FL, who attends Boca Raton HS. He has a lone, lean frame and as a 2008 prospect has plenty of time to get stronger. Tomasi throws from an overhand release point with a quick, compact arm action. His fastball was steady in the 80-82 mph range and topped out at 83 mph. His curveball was 68 and had tight downer spin from his high release point. Tomasi's change up was also a nice secondary pitch for a young pitcher. Tomasi has very good projection with all his pitches as he gets stronger. He haso showed some potential with the bat. He has nice hand strength and uses his leverage will to develop bat speed. Tomasi has some lift and extension to his swing and should hit his share of home runs at the high school level and maybe more as he fills out. Tomasi is also a good student.
