Ethan Martin is a 2008 3B/P with a 6'3'', 200 lb. frame from Toccoa, GA who attends Stephens County HS. He has a tall, rangy build that projects very well. Martin has huge physical tools that put him among the top prospects in the country. He has a fluid swing with lift and outstanding bat speed and shows the ability to hit 400'+ home runs in BP with minimal effort. Martin attacks the ball aggressively and has a purpose at the plate when he swings. His best contact now is when he's controlled and waits on the ball. Defensively, there isn't much that Martin can't do. He has incredible arm strength (95 mph in drills) and other players stop what they are doing to watch him throw during infield. He's smooth and quick in his lateral movement and his hands work smoothly. Martin also runs 6.98 and throws 94 mph off the mound. There will be nothing physically that keeps him from being an All-Star level type of player. Selected to 2007 Aflac All-American team.

Ethan Martin is a 6-3, 185 lb infielder/RHP from Georgia who profiles best at third base. He's a very advanced hitter and one of the best we've seen in this age group for a while. Plus, plus bat speed with top level power potential. Martin hits with high hands in a tall stance and maintains very good balance. The ball explodes off his bat. Martin also has very, very good arm strength, throwing 85 during infield drills and 84 mph from the mound. He's thrown 87 mph as a pitcher since then at WWBA events. Martin has polished defensive actions with good footwork and smooth hands. The only area he is below average in is his running speed. He's a 7.76/5.11 runner, which is why he projects to third base. Although his future is as a position player, he could also evolve into a top pitching prospect. He has a quick arm and very good command of his pitches. His 73 mph curveball is a solid secondary pitch with good downer break. He has a standard 3/4's release point and a short, compact arm circle. Martin is a national level player who you will be hearing a lot more about in the future.
