2005 South Top Prospect Showcase
Parker is a 5-10, 175 lb left handed hitting senior outfielder from Texas with very good upper body strength. He really threw the ball well from the outfield, hitting 85 mph during drills. Parker is a 7.24 runner who also showed nice range in the outfield as well and the ability to catch the ball after leaving his feet. Offensively, Parker has a slashing left handed swing and makes solid contact to all fields. He can handle the bat head and uses his upper body strength and hands well. Parker has a top of the order approach and even bunted once, a showecase rarity. He ran the bases very aggressively. In fact, Parker did everything very aggressively with a high level of hustle and energy and we appreciated the way he played the game. He's a solid overall player of the type that coaches love to have on their team and not on the opponents. Parker is also a good student.
