Riggins is a 5-11, 160 lb senior right handed pitcher from Dallas who is also a good position player. He has a fast, loose arm that generates an 82-84 mph fastball and the type of arm speed that gives you the idea that there's more in there. Riggins had some nice spin and sharp downer break on a 69 mph curveball and also threw a 73 mph change up. Riggins has a lot of early drift to the plate and seperates his hands very late in his delivery, which might be one key to opening up more velocity in the future. Riggins was also one of the better outfield prospects at the event. He threw 85 mph from the outfield and his 7.11 speed gives him good range. Riggins hits from a tall stance with good, quick hands and some bat speed. He made consistent strong contact up the middle of the field and handled the bat head well. This is just a good overall baseball player who projects well across the board. Good follow.
