Jackson Molinaro is a 2017 C/RHP/3B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Cedar Park, TX who attends Cedar Park HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength with more to come. Left handed hitter, straight stance, keeps things simple in his load and shift, quick hands with a direct path to the ball, inside hand path, gets the barrel in the zone quickly and makes consistent line drive contact and will flash occasional lift, has the hitting fundamentals to keep improving as he gets stronger. Extremely versatile defensive player, can literally play every position on the field, 7.00 runner, best position is catcher where athletic quickness and arm strength play together the best, infield likely his second best position. Not surprisingly also pitched and showed versatility there as well, high 3/4's clean arm with a low effort release, went to true sidearm in his second inning of work, sidearm more effective with an upper 70's fastball with good life, primary fastball pitcher from both slots. Surprised he doesn't switch-hit just to complete the Swiss Army Knife package. Good student.
