Alexander Nathanson is a 2016 LHP/OF with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from San Francisco, CA who attends St Ignatius College Prep. Slender young build, limited present strength. Slow paced delivery with a high leg raise, cross body on landing, 3/4's arm slot, extended arm action. Fastball topped out at 72 mph, big running action at times, works fastball to spots and has some deception with it. Change up is his best pitch, similar life and command with lots of deception. Soft curveball with limited spin. Depends on hitting spots and on his fastball/change up movement. Left handed hitter, rotational swing with a very early front side, swings down to contact, handles the barrel well and makes consistent spray contact. Good student.
