Abner Diaz is a 2016 LHP/OF with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends International Baseball Academy. Medium, lean, young, slender build and projects very well. Has an up tempo delivery and uses a compact, repeatable arm action. Hides the ball well and shows good running actions on his 79 mph fastball. Varies the speed of his curveball but spots well and flashes hard 1-7 bite down in the zone at 68 mph at his best. Also flashes a 71 mph changeup with running actions. Excellent student.
