Anthony Hernandez is a 2016 1B/OF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from San Pedro, CA who attends St John Bosco. Hernandez has a medium sized frame with some stocky strength to him. Defensively he waits back on the ball at 1B and fields the ball flat footed. He has developing actions with developing footwork around the bag at 1B. At the plate, he starts with a slightly open stance and a high hand set. Hernandez gets closed and has some smoothnes to his swing. He made solid contact to all fields and has some length to his swing. Hernandez has some bat speed and showed occasional pop. Very good student.
