Charles Brantley is a 2016 3B/1B with a 5-10 210 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Ardrey Kell HS. Brantley has a large frame with a thick build. Defensively he has accurate throws with developing arm strength. He moved to the ball well and showed smooth transfers. His tools project best at 1B defensively. At the plate, Brantley starts with an open stance and uses a knee lift trigger to start his swing. He has a rotational approach and generates good bat speed. Brantley gets good weight transfer in his swing and he has an aggressive approach. He flashed some middle of the field carry in BP and showed some present power. Solid hitting tools to develop. Very good student.
