Drew Ashley is a 2017 C/3B/RHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Chandler, IN who attends Reitz Memorial HS. Ashley has a lean build with room to fill out. Hits from an open stance, short to ball with an inside the ball hand path. Executes swing well. Mostly opposite field results and shows bat speed. Defensively, short arm action, feet work well with a clean transfer and release. Ball is online with carry, shows solid catch and throw skills. Also pitches, short arm action to high 3/4 arm slot. Has feel for pitching including feel for 3 pitches. Fastball has arm side run while change up has slight sink and cut action. Curveball can be sharp with 11/5 shape. Outstanding student.
