Kenny Stoneback is a 2008 SS/OF with a 6', 180 lb frame from Colonial Heights, VA who attends Colonial Heights HS. Named to Top Prospect Team. Kenny has a good looking athletic build and his athletic ability is advanced for his age. At the plate Kenny has the tools to be a solid hitter and when he centers the ball up, he can look really good. He has a lot of extra movement with his swing and really needs to work on calming his approach down some. Kenny showed very solid defensive tools where he has athletic and clean actions to go along with a quick release and transfer at shortstop. He looked very similar in the outfield and he has the ability to project at a number of different positions. Kenny has good makeup and is a solid student. He should attract the attention of many mid to high-level college programs.

Kenny Stoneback is a 2008 MIF/OF from Colonial Heights in Colonial Heights, VA, with a 5'10'', 170 lb. frame. Kenny has solid arm strength with a clean arm action. Kenny has nice easy smooth actions defensively with soft hands. He showed the ability to move around well defensively and is a quick runner with a 7.27 60 yard time. Kenny hits from a wide stance and showed balance in his swing. He starts with a high hand set and pulls back his hands at load. Kenny uses a big leg lift trigger to start his swing and has a good line drive swing plane. Kenny showed good hand quickness and strength in his swing. Kenny has a good approach at the plate with an idea of what he's doing. Kenny is a good hitter presently and has the tools to develop in the future. He is a very good student.
