Brandon Cody is a 2017 OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Corona, CA who attends Woodcrest Christian HS. Large frame with an athletic build. Projects for additional strength. Right handed hitter with a spread, straight stance. Stacks back side at load and creates good shift into contact with linear lower half actions. Hands launch to contact on a compact, line drive plane with natrual loft through extension. Consistently squared contact throughout batting batting practice with a mid-field approach. Shows the present barrel skills and bat speed to split the gaps. Worked out defensively from the outfield showing athletic actions while closing on th ebaseball. Long, loose arm action that created good carry and back spin to the bag, topped at 85 mph. Clean glove actions while working through transition and exchange. Repeats mechanics well with smooth, athletic actions. Good student. Named to 2016 Sunshine West Top Prospect List.
