Coby Boulware is a 2017 SS/2B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Anthem, AZ who attends Boulder Creek HS. Slender young athletic build, prototypical middle infielder's look, lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, has advanced barrel skills, short line drive swing with a feel for squaring up the ball, hits it to all fields and recognizes pitches,lacks the present strength to really drive the ball but that will come. 4.33 runner home to first, has quick actions in the middle infield, arm strength plays from shortstop and makes the routine plays very routinely, also looked good at second base. Gamer type who plays hard and plays above his tools. The key will just be getting stronger. Good student, verbal commitment to TCU.
