Garrett Leeper is a 2017 1B/RHP with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Portland, OR who attends Wilson HS. Medium, lean, young built with room to add strength. Ran a 7.63 60 yard dash. Arm strength is still developing across the diamond but stays on top and makes accurate throws. Moves well around first base. Bats right-handed, works from a high hand set and uses a middle of the field approach. Has a line drive swing path and should develop power with added strength. Also took the mound, topped at 66 mph from a high three-quarter arm slot. Uses a high leg kick trigger and hides the ball well. Mixes a 60 mph curveball with 10-4 action. Needs to be more consistent with release point. Shows sink on his fastball. Excellent student.
