Gregory Kay is a 2016 LHP/1B with a 6-4 170 lb. frame from West Kingston, RI who attends South Kingstown. Tall, strong, lean built and projects to get stronger. Ran a 7.70 60 yard dash. Pitches from a low three-quarter arm slot and throws strikes with his 74 mph fastball. Projects to add velocity. Flashes arm side running action on his 69 mph changeup. Flashes a tight 2-8 curveball with good depth at 67 mph. Stays online with his delivery and attacks the zone. Also swung the bat, works from a slight knee bend and knows how to lift the ball. Makes consistent contact and takes an aggressive swing. Shows good carry off his bat. Has a quick line drive swing path. Arm strength still developing across the diamond. Moves well around first base and hands work well. Very good student.
